    Over the past number of years I have had the opportunity to view many properties that you represented for sale and indeed both bought and sold through your expert guidance. I believe this has given me the unique experience of seeing many facets of your sales techniques and personality first hand.

    I have always found you approachable, knowledgeable and honest in your dealings with properties. It was because of this I believe that buying a property through you was quite stress-free and any concerns raised were dealt with in an efficient, caring and considerate manner.

    Your outstanding interpersonal skills were apparent when an initial offer and acceptance was withdrawn. Because you had maintained open and honest relations with other interested parties, the property was sold on the very same day. There was no need for further advertising or another open house!

    Your negotiating skills were of prime importance not only to secure a great sale price but also to ensure the sale was executed on time. When the purchaser raised some minor concerns on the day before settlement you were able to negotiate an outcome where both parties were satisfied, settlement proceeded as scheduled and a situation, which may have become quite stressful, was resolved through your quick thinking and negotiations.

    Even after the sale, you have been a font of knowledge and very generous with advice to me. Whenever I ask for a suggestion for a trade person you provide excellent contacts. I am most appreciative of the hours you spent at my new property in Hartley making suggestions of how to improve the property and gardens.

    “Adele Colman has done a magnificent job for us in terms of securing a great price for the property. There were more than a few extenuating circumstances in our situation – namely a deceased estate for very close family friend who passed away relatively suddenly and with me as the executor living in Sydney. Adele was not only very sympathetic to our situation but was instrumental on her initial visit at taking the right amount of time to assess all considerations for the property for what needed to be done to get the property ready for sale. The other agents I reviewed didn’t express the same amount of enthusiasm and care that Adele did.

    She then proposed a series of recommendations with relevant trade contacts for this to be done. Once we agreed on the proposals, she then took charge of arranging all the tradespeople to get their jobs done – keeping me informed at every step of the way. This was an incredible value add for me as it meant we were very much on the same page with what needed to be done to get the property ready.

    Apart from all the other standard pre-readiness tasks like photos and brochures, I also very much valued Adele’s advice around the sale offers – and what was a realistic offer versus something out of left field. We were very happy with the result we obtained.

    Recently Adele and Bob Colman and their team have managed the sale of my parents' very special home for over 30 years, "Le Var" on the Shipley Plateau in Blackheath. For my father, the potter Peter Rushforth, this property has been home, inspiration, studio, gallery and meeting place for generations of friends and artists, and therefore has held a very special place in our family's affections and history. To be able to hand over such a unique, complex and emotional sale to agents of such experience, discretion and understanding was a monumental relief for our extended family. At every turn they were flexible and accommodating of our particular wishes and circumstances.

    Many of our perceived hurdles and stresses for such a sale never came to pass in their capable hands, at every turn the professionalism and courtesy of them and their entire team was to be completely relied upon.
